Students meet daily with the same highly-trained tutor.

Daily, 15-minute tutoring sessions are
delivered by the same tutor each school day, providing students with an adult role model who believes in them, boosts their confidence, and motivates them to work hard to master new skills.

From Behind to On Benchmark:
Intervention Impact Study

Johns Hopkins University researchers spent the 23-24 school year studying the reading progress of nearly 2,000 1st graders engaged in daily 1:1 foundational reading skills intervention from Ignite Reading.

Here's what they learned:

  • Students reading on benchmark increased 213% with the help of high-dosage tutoring
  • The number of students in need of intensive intervention decreased 55%.
  • Students across demographics — including students of color, multilingual learners, and those with an IEP — all improved their skills at nearly the same rate, gaining an average of 5.4 months of added learning (compared to national averages).

"At one given time we have 15 students plugged into Ignite Reading, receiving
instruction from 15 different adults. Never could we replicate that in a school
system, and we couldn't afford it."
